6, 7, 8 Keyboarding/Computer Skills

About the Computer Skills Test:
The Keyboarding/Computer Classes in the 6, 7, and 8 grades are a part of the ABC's of North Carolina. Students not passing the NC Computer Skills Competency Test in 8th Grade will have to retake the test in High School until they pass it. If a student does not pass this test in HS, they will not receive a HS diploma. Therefore, it is important that each student be present every day and focus on their classwork and homework assignments.

Class Announcements

BRING MATERIALS TO CLASS

All students should bring a 3 ring Notebook with 8 Dividers (for the 6 Computer Strands, vocabulary and general info), loose leaf notebook paper and 1-2 pencils as well as any homework assigned with them to class every day.
Points are deducted for not having materials/homework.
Notebooks developed in 6th grade will be used through 8th grade in preparing students for the NC Computer Skills test.
